Foreword
by
Frederick Forsyth
There are virtually no undiscovered places left to find, no unclimbed
mountains to scale, no new rivers left to cross. It seems there
may be no challenges left to face.
Yet every now and again we find someone who has noticed a
new challenge hitherto unthought of, and we think: it may be
crazy but he must have a lot of bottle to undertake it.
Such exploits may last hours, days, even weeks. To fly non-stop
around the world on a single tank of fuel; to sail alone on
the same lonely journey; all demand a 'Wow' of admiring surprise. |
